As part of 'Teach Me Tuesday', the boys and girls in P4/5G were pleased to welcome Councillor Bethany Carson-Ferris to school.
Cllr Carson-Ferris shared the role that members of the community across Carrickfergus play in her work on Mid and East Antrim Borough Council. She highlighted the importance of listening to others with different opinions and how Councillors represent our community.
Cllr Carson-Ferris has been a passionate advocate for Oakfield PS and serves on our Board of Governors. We are grateful for her taking time out of her busy schedule to participate in this event and allowing the class to get plenty of photographs in her council robes - these are all on the school website.
