October Round Up in Nursery

5th Nov 2022

It’s been another busy month in the Nursery Unit!

We've been learning about Autumn and pumpkins.
We had lots of fun painting pumpkins and cutting them open to explore what was inside. We used lots of great words to describe how the seeds and pulp felt.

We developed our fine motor skills and hand eye coordination by putting elastic bands around the little pumpkins and hammering golf tees into the gigantic pumpkin.

We really enjoy helping to prepare snack. What a brilliant job we did cutting the grapes in half!

It was a wet month but we were suited and booted so we could explore outside.
We worked together to build a road of bricks  across the path and made some delicious autumnal dishes using leaves, sticks and mud!

We loved having the tricycles and scooters introduced and did super waiting for our turn. We are learning to pedal, it’s tricky, especially up the slope but we love a challenge!

It was lovely having visitors along to nursery. We had lots of fun at Jo Jingles and Poppin Pilates. Mr McCluskey and Mrs Moore our principals, came to play the trumpet and read us a story. We especially liked having our grown ups join us for the Gruffalo Trail!
