Lucy McCluskey joined us all for assembly this morning. She talked about her experiences as part of a Summer Presbyterian Church mission to Kenya. We learned about the Kambui complex and the special children that are cared for there. Lucy told us about the long trip to Kenya, the living conditions and foods that are eaten. She talked about the children, their house mothers and we even learned some Swahili lingo! We learned of the improvements made to dormitories, extra outdoor facilities and other schools that the team visited locally. Lucy finished her talk by showing us a brilliant video of her mission trip, while Miss Bill wore the masai scarf Lucy had been presented as a gift from the Kambui team.
