Marvellous May in Mrs Wylie’s class!
During May we celebrated Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday, National Number Day and. National Bee Day. We spent time in the Forest School garden with our P6 buddies. The P6 children researched our favourite animals from the rainforest and shared lots of interesting facts with us! We released our butterflies into the nursery garden and watched them fly away! We enjoyed welcoming our nursery buddies from Acorn Integrated with their grownups for stay and play, where we had fun participating in Joe Jingles, Poppin Pilates, snack and finger printing. We been brushing up on our number and shape recognition and using our Early Mathematical language to describe these. We have been continuing to develop our hand strength and fine motor skills by hammering, cutting and joining! Wednesdays have been especially busy visiting assembly and taking part in Uplift sessions! A huge thank you to Carrick Men’s Shed for very kindly donating a new slide to replace our damaged one. We have been having so much fun using it!
